contrast between light & dark




the values within these photos show contrast from light to dark. the black and white photo with the differnt shades of black and white. along with the shading on the apples being darker than the original color.

can be used to draw attention & produce a strong emotional or phyiscal impact


the many colors of the crayons give us a great feel of color within this picture

refers to the way things look or feel if they can be touched.



the shell of the snail looks like you are able to touch it, defining how it looks giving you an idea of how the shell may feel.

these shapes are contained in a define area of geometrics, containing circles squares triangles causing motion action stability and direction.

lines :

lines can be loose, free, straight up or sharp.


this photo consists of many lines, vertical horizontal etc. some are thicker than others, the repetition of lines makes it or free and gives it a better apperance.
